1BroadbandservicesandtheNationalBroadbandNetwork"Broadband"isthegeneraltermusedtodescribeservicesthatoperateathigherfrequenciesordigitalbitratesthanarenecessarytotransmitthehumanvoice(e.

6ConduitintegrityTobe"FTTPready",thelead-inconduitandbendsmustbecapableofpassinganopticalfibrecablethathasapre-terminatedconnectorprotectedbystiffplastictubingandcoveredbyapolypropylenehaulingsock.
Thisassemblyhasatotaldiameterofupto18mmforalengthofabout800mmandissemi-rigid.
Theprotectivetubingandhaulingsockprotecttheopticalfibreandopticalconnectorwhilethecableisbeingpulledthroughthelead-inconduitandensurethatnopullingforceisexertedontheconnector.
Thesockwillnotpullthroughsmall-radiusconduitbendsduetoitslargediameterandrelativestiffness.
