AtaPWMoscillatorspeedof20kHz,thiscorrespondsto50μsto100μsofblanktimewhichlimitsmaximumrotationalspeedto100kRPMforamotorwithsixtransitionsperrotationor50kRPMforamotorwith12transitionsperrotation.
Thispreventsnoisegeneratedinthefirst50μsofatransitionfrompropagatingtotheoutputtransistorsandcausingcross-conductionorchatter.
TheUC1625alsocontainssixflipflopscorrespondingtothesixoutputdrivesignals.
Oneoftheseflipflopsisseteverytimethatanoutputdrivesignalisturnedon,andclearedtwoPWMoscillatorcyclesafterthatdrivesignalisturnedoff.
Theoutputofeachflipflopisusedtoinhibitdrivetotheopposingoutput(Figure8).
Inthisway,itisimpossibletoturnondriverPUAandPDAatthesametime.
ItisalsoimpossibleforoneofthesedriverstoturnonwithouttheotherdriverhavingbeenoffforatleasttwoPWMoscillatorclocks.
