TheOzgateorDoorwaycanbeassimpleorinvolvedasisconvenient.
Remember,though,itprobablyneedstomoveonandoff,sokeepthatinmind.
ThechamberoftheWizardcanbeanythingatall.
ThefirstpartofActIItakesplacemostlyontheroad,andsincetheWitchhasmagicalpowers,shecan"see"whatishappeningfromanylocation.
Oncethetravelersarecaptured,thesettingshouldchangetothecastleoftheWitchwhereanimplied"GrandHall"orCourtyardwouldservethepurposesofalltheaction.
WhenthescenegoesbacktotheCityofOz,asingleimpliedlocationcouldworkfortheentiresequence.
The"backtoKansas"segmentisverybrief,andactuallyworksmosteffectivelyiftheOzsetsimplygoesaway,andnomajorattemptismadetorestoreaKansassetting.
Costumesandprops(especiallyforOz)shouldbeFUN.
Ozisamagicalfantasyplace,sofashionscanbeanystyle,oranymixofstyles.

Also,thecharactersofthemonkeys(asdepictedintheMGMfilm)arequitefrighteningtoconsideraslivecharacters,and,ofcourse,theircostumescouldbequitecomplicatedandexpensive.
