EXEMPTIONS4.

ThisAdministrationmaygrantexemptionsfromalloranyoftheprovisionsoftheseConventions(asmaybespecifiedintheexemption)onsuchterms(ifany)aswemaysospecifyandmay,subjecttogivingreasonablenotice,alterorcancelsuchexemption.

VesselsapplyingforanExemptionCertificatetothisAdministrationwillneedtoprovideinadditiontoawrittenapplication,therationalefortheparticularrequestendorsedbytheRecognizedOrganizationwhichperformedtherelatedsurveyonboardthevessel.
5.
RESPONSIBILITIESOFCOMPANIESANDMASTERS5.

Everycompanyresponsiblefortheoperationofaship(s)undertheBelizeregistryshallensurethat:5.

ThecrewaccommodationshallbemaintainedinacleanandhabitableconditionandallequipmentandinstallationsrequiredbytheseRegulationsshallbemaintainedingoodworkingorder.

Everypartofthecrewaccommodation,exceptstorerooms,shallbekeptfreefromstoresandotherpropertynotbelongingtoorprovidedfortheuseofpersonsforwhomthatpartoftheaccommodationisappropriated,andinparticularnocargoshallbekeptinanypartofthecrewaccommodation.

Themasteroftheshiporanofficerappointedbyhimforthepurposeshallinspecteverypartofthecrewaccommodationatweeklyintervalsandmaybeaccompaniedontheinspectionbyatleastonememberofthecrew.
Theparticularsofsuchinspectionsshallberecordedintheofficiallogbook.

AnysubstantialalterationorreconstructiontothecrewaccommodationorcrewnumberincreasebeyondthemaximumcapacityshallbereportedtotheAdministrationandshallbesubjecttoanOccasionalinspectiontoensurethatsuchmodificationsareincompliancewiththetermsoftheConvention.
6.
SURVEYANDCERTIFICATION6.
1.
Itwillbethecompany'sandmaster'sresponsibilitytoarrangeforthesurveyoftheirvesselswithoneofthedulyauthorizedRecognizedOrganizationslistedinAttachmentItothisTechnicalNote.

UponcompletionofthesurveyrequirementsimplementedbytheRecognizedOrganizationchosenforthetask,and6.

UponcompliancewiththerelevantrequirementsoftheConvention,afulltermCrewAccommodationCertificatevalidforfive(5)yearsfromthedateoftheinitialsurveywillbeissuedbytheRecognizedOrganizationsurveyingthevesselonbehalfofourAdministration.
