Supervises/evaluatesSHstaffforthepurposeofschedulingworkassignments;monitoringemployeeperformance;andprovidingfeedback,trainingandsupport.
Providesinstructionalleadershipintheareasofalternativetesting/languagedevelopment,andbehaviorplansforthepurposeofsupportingstudenteducationwithanemphasisonmeasurableachievementofIEPgoals.
ProvidestechnicalassistancetodistrictsforthepurposeofsupportingdistrictimplementationofSHinclusionprograms.
Coordinates/conductsacomprehensivestaffdevelopmentprogramforthepurposeofprovidingprofessionaldevelopmentandtrainingforstaff.
Interprets/monitors/implementslaws,rulesandregulationsaffectingtheSHprogramforthepurposeofensuringprogramcompliancewithfederalandstateregulationsandTulareCountyOfficeofEducation(TCOE)policiesandprocedures.
ParticipatesinthedevelopmentofacoordinatedcomprehensiveserviceplanforSpecialEducationservicesforthepurposeofmeetingfederalandstateguidelinesandprovidingappropriateservicesforstudents.
Skills,Knowledgeand/orAbilities:Skillsto:plan,coordinateanddirectprograms;analyzeproblems,identifysolutions,andprojectconsequencesandproposedactions;communicateeffectivelyorallyandinwriting;gaincooperationthroughdiscussionandpersuasion.

Responsibilitiesinclude:workingindependentlyunderbroadorganizationalpolicieswithsupervisionfocusingonresultstoorganizationalobjectives;directingotherpersonswithinadepartment,largeworkunitand/oracrossseveralsmallworkunits;andoperatingwithinadefinedbudgetand/orfinancialguidelines.
