Astatementinsuchwritteninstructionstotheeffectof"repairorreplaceasnecessary"willnotreducetheperiodofwarrantycoverage.
Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderwarrantymustbewarrantedfortheremainingwarrantyperiod.

AnywarrantedpartthatisscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionsrequiredbytheEmissionWarrantyPartsList(seebelow)mustbewarrantedfortheperiodoftimepriortothefirstscheduledreplacementpointforthatpart.
Ifthepartfailspriortothefirstscheduledreplacement,thepartmustberepairedorreplacedbytheenginemanufactureraccordingtoSubsection(4)below.
Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderwarrantymustbewarrantedfortheremainderoftheperiodpriortothefirstscheduledreplacementpointforthepart.

Repairorreplacementofanywarrantedpartunderthewarrantymustbeperformedatawarrantystationatnochargetotheowner.
5.
NotwithstandingtheprovisionsofSubsection(4)above,warrantyservicesorrepairswillbeprovidedatallmanufacturerdistributioncentersthatareauthorizedtoservicethesubjectengines.
6.
Theownermustnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborthatleadstothedeterminationthatawarrantedpartisinfactdefective,providedthatsuchdiagnosticworkisperformedatawarrantystation.
WarrantyWorkSTIHLIncorporatedshallremedywarrantydefectsatanyauthorizedSTIHLservicingdealerorwarrantystation.
Anysuchworkshallbefreeofchargetotheownerifitisdeterminedthatawarrantedpartisdefective.
Anymanufacturerapprovedorequivalentreplacementpartmaybeusedforanywarrantymaintenanceorrepairsonemission-relatedpartsandmustbeprovidedwithoutchargetotheowner.
STIHLIncorporatedisliablefordamagestootherenginecomponentscausedbythefailureofawarrantedpartstillunderwarranty.
