Atthesametime,liverbiopsysampleswereobtainedfromeachcowduringtheexperimentinordertoobserveanyfatinltrationtotheliver.
Blood-ionizedcalcium(ICa)andnormalizedcalcium(normCa)concentrationsdecreasedsigni-cantlyatparturation.
