WhiletheWorldParkinsonCoalitionhasbeenbringingleadersoftheParkinson'snonprofitcommunitytogethersincethefirstWorldParkinsonCongressin2006,thisisonlythesecondLeadershipForumthatinvitesleaderstojoininadedicatedday-longforumbeforetheCongressevenbegins.
ThepurposeofthisForumisforyoutolearn,connect,andbeinspiredbytheimpactfulworkwearealldoingacrosstheglobeandtotakehomeideasyoucanimplementuponyourreturn.
Whileeachofourcommunitieshavedifferentneedsandfaceuniquechallenges,wesharethecommonmissiontoservepeoplewithParkinson'sandtheirfamilies.
TheurgencywithwhichwetacklethisdiseaseispresentintheworkbeingdoneinMumbaiandMombasajustasitiswiththoseofyouinNewYorkandLondon.
Whilewemayworkdifferentlyduetoourhealthcaresystems,culturalchallengesorfinancialbarriers,weallworktoraiseawareness,educate,andempowerthecommunity.
Todayisjustoneday,butit'sanimportantgathering.
