TheraceisafundraiserforLogCabinSkiSociety,whichmaintainstheskitrailswithequipmentandvolunteersfromSkagwayandtheYukon.
ThesetrailshavebeenrecognizedasanofficialrecreationareabyBCForestry.
LCSSvolunteersgroomandsettrackonthesetrailsallwinterandleadinguptotheBuckwheat.

KlondikeHighway,27miles(43.
5K)northofSkagway.
ConditionshavebeenexcellentsinceDecemberandareupdatedweeklyontheLCSSwebandFacebookpages.
TheBuckwheatSkiClassicwillagainhave50K,25Kand10Kclassiccrosscountryskiraces,aswellasa5Kkidsrace.
RacerscansignupbyclickingontheRaceEntrytabonthewebsiteandfollowingtheregistrationlink.
ThereisadiscountforregisteringearlybeforetheendofFebruary,thenfeesgoupinMarch.
