每年的圣诞节英国女王都会向公众发表圣诞演讲 (Christmasmessage) 这已经成为了英国传统圣诞节的重要组成部分。

60年前女王第一次在电视机前对全英国人民做圣诞演讲到今年已是第60个年头。

今年女王致辞的主题是 Home 。

女王开篇就秀了一把幽默 “六十年的今天 一位年轻的女士(也就是我本人)第一次通过电视广播了她的讲话。 ”

六十年过去了 当年的通过电视广播演讲的女士自己 如她所描述的科技一样也多少“进化”了一些。

时代在变迁科技也在进步女王称要是回到过去谁也不敢相信大家会通过电脑或手机来观看她的圣诞致辞。

但女王特别强调了这60年来唯一不变的东西——家给人带来的温暖和庇佑不变的东西才更能打动人心。

她把家定义为“温馨、 熟悉和爱的来源”  同时感谢家庭和家人带给她的美好和福分。

当天女王身穿纯白衣服面带笑容 一旁的桌上除了摆放夫妇二人的当年结婚照及合照 还有曾孙乔治王子及夏洛特公主的照片 可以说是非常宠爱这对曾孙了。

她还罕见地提及了菲利普亲王这位96岁的爱丁堡公爵在女王在位的65年里一直陪在她身边。

她感谢了丈夫的一贯支持并称赞他有“独特的幽默感” 。

在讲话中女王感恩与菲利普亲王70年“白金婚” 幽默地称不知是谁发明了七十年“白金婚”的说法 当她出生的时候 其实没人指望她能活这么久。

今年夏天菲利浦退出了常规的皇家工作。菲利普亲王也认为现在是时候把节奏放慢了。

女王还提到明年将有一位新的家庭成员加入 有网友猜测是亨利王子明年将和Meghan大婚不过也有网友猜测明年王室将迎来威廉王子和凯特王妃的第三个孩子。

在另一张桌子上 还可以看到哈里王子和梅根的合照 所以也就暗示了明年新成员是梅根的可能性更大?

Meghan 将在婚礼前接受英国国教的洗礼她和哈里王子现在住在肯辛顿宫的一间两层的小别墅里。

但不论是哪一位新成员的加入 作为王子的老奶奶 她都给予了热情的欢迎和祝福。

在致辞中女王提到了今年英国发生的几次大事件伦敦、曼城恐袭以及伦敦的大火。并向2017年恐袭中受伤但坚强面对还有几起恐袭上挺身而出的人们致敬 是这些人让英国这个‘家’依旧温暖。

“这个圣诞节我想起了伦敦和曼彻斯特 在过去的12个月里面对骇人听闻的袭击 它们展现出了独有的性格 它们的个性让这两个城市在过去十二月闪闪放光。

在曼彻斯特恐袭的对象甚至包括了一些孩子 他们只是去看看他们最喜爱的歌手。 炸弹袭击几天后 我有幸去探望了一些年轻的幸存者和他们的父母。

她称自己有幸亲眼目睹了事件中幸存者的勇敢和坚韧不拔的精神。我把这次医院之行形容为一种‘特权’  因为我遇到的病人都是我们所有人的榜样他们表现出了非凡的勇气和韧性。 ”

英国在今年经历了一系列毁灭性的恐怖主义暴行 从今年3月的威斯敏斯特大桥袭击开始 4名行人在袭击中丧生然后开枪打死一名警察随后被警察开枪打死。

几个月后在曼彻斯特一名自杀式袭击者引爆了一件爆炸装置

导致包括儿童在内的 22人死亡。

6月又一件恐怖的事导致了人的死亡三名恐怖分子在伦敦桥上驾驶货车撞向行人 随后在市镇市场又发生了持刀杀人事件 共造

成8人死亡。凶徒后来被警察击毙。

The Queen's speech in ful l

Sixty years ago today, a young woman spoke about thespeed of technological change as she presented the firsttelevision broadcast of its kind.She described the moment asa landmark.

Six decades on, the presenter has'evolved'somewhat,ashas the technology she described.Back then,who could haveimagined that people would one day be watching this onlaptops and mobi le phones –as some of you are today.But I 'm

also struck by something that hasn't changed.That,whateverthe technology,many of you wi l l be watching this at home.

We think of our homes as places of warmth, fami l iarity and love;of shared stories and memories,which is perhaps why at this time ofyear so many return to where they grew up.There is a timelesssimpl icitytothe pul l of home.

For many, the idea of 'home' reaches beyond a physicalbui lding –to a hometown or city. This Christmas, I think ofLondon and Manchester, whose powerful identities shonethrough over the past twelve monthsin theface of appal l ingattacks. In Manchester, those targeted included chi ldren whohad gone to see their favourite singer. A few days after thebombing, I had the privi lege of meeting some of the youngsurvivors and their parents.

I describe that hospital visit as a 'privi lege' because thepatients I met were an example to us al l , showingextraordinary bravery and resi l ience. Indeed, many of thosewho survived the attack came together just days later for abenefit concert. It was a powerful reclaiming of the ground,and of the citythose young people cal l home.

We expect our homes to be a place of safety –'sanctuary'even–which makes it al l the more shocking when the comfort

they provide is shattered.A few weeks ago,The Prince of Walesvisited the Caribbean in the aftermath of hurricanes that destroyedentire communities.And here in London,who can forget the sheerawfulness of the Grenfel l Tower fire?

Our thoughts and prayers are with al l those who died andthose who lost so much;and we are indebted to members ofthe emergency services who risked their own l ives, this past year,saving others. Many of them, of course,wi l l not be at home todaybecause they are working, to protect us.

Reflecting on these events makes me grateful for the blessings ofhome and fami ly,and in particularfor 70 years of marriage. I don'tknowthat anyone had invented the term platinum' for a 70th weddinganniversary when I was born.You weren't expected to be around thatlong.Even Prince

Phi l ip has decided it's time to slowdown a l ittle –having,as heeconomical lyput it, 'done his bit' .But I knowhis supportandunique sense of humourwi l l remain as strong as ever,as weenjoyspending time this Christmas with ourfami ly and lookforward to welcoming new members into it next year.

In 2018 I wi l l open my home to a different type of fami ly:the leaders of the fifty-two nations of the Commonwealth, asthey gather in the UKfora summit.The Commonwealth has

an inspiring wayof bringing people together,be it through the

Commonwealth Games –which begin in afewmonths' timeon Austral ia's Gold Coast–orthrough bodies l ike the CommonwealthYouth Orchestra&Choir:a reminder of howtrulyvibrant thisinternational fami ly is.

Today we celebrate Christmas, which itself is sometimesdescribed as a festival of the home. Fami l ies travel long distances tobe together.Volunteers and charities,as wel l asmany churches, arrange meals for the homeless and those who wouldotherwise be alone on Christmas Day.We remember the birth of JesusChrist whose only sanctuary wasa stable in Bethlehem. He knew rejection, hardship and persecution;and yet it is Jesus Christ's generous love and example which hasinspired methrough good times and bad.
