摘要沈从文用其独特的审美视角来观察生活描绘了勤劳善良的湘西人民。妓女也是他笔下人物的一个重要组成部分通过对湘西妓女思想感情和人生态度的描写塑造了有情有义、率真诚信的妓女形象。妓女也因为被沈从文赋予了人情美和人性美而具有了独特的魅力成为了美的化身。沈从文批判上层社会的虚假赞扬自然健康的人性所以也希望通过妓女这个人物形象能唤醒人们遗失的纯朴的人性。
